Silver Fox now Lynn Collins? February 16th, 2008, posted by FofR

Third rumor of the day for you here, the IESB are now reporting that the role of Silver Fox is not going to the previously reported Maggie Q or Michelle Monaghan, but instead to Texan Lynn Collins. They have been wrong on two occasions previous so we have to certify this as nothing more than a rumor until we get some concrete evidence!

Lynn Collins (Number 23, Bug) has beat both beauties for the highly coveted role of Kayla Silverfox A.K.A. Silver Fox. We have been able to confirm the casting news with our sources at the studio.

Wolverine is finishing up its New Zealand shoot this weekend and will be headed to Australia early next week for the remainder of the production.

The Blob in Wolverine? February 16th, 2008, posted by FofR

Rumors are flying today in the world of Wolverine, currently situated in New Zealand. We’ve got another one for you from FilmSchoolRejects, with a report that a man in a Blob suit has been spotted on set. We’re still classifying this as a rumor for now - at least until we get our own pictures.

We got a note from someone who was on set this week while they shot test footage of an actor in a huge rubber suit for The Blob. The interesting part is that they made the suit to look like The Blob was about 800lbs, but producers want to make him bigger, something like 1200lbs. I did some research (as I am not too familiar with The Blob’s history) and I found that he was around 500lbs. originally.

Danny Huston cast as Stryker? February 16th, 2008, posted by FofR

Joblo are exclusively reporting that the infamous young Stryker role, previously attached to Liev Schreiber and Michael C Hall could now have gone to one Danny Huston.

A source close to the production tells us that actor Danny Huston (30 DAYS OF NIGHT) has signed on to star as William Stryker in WOLVERINE and is already on location in New Zealand prepping for his part. Odd since I had heard that Hall also was in New Zealand but that could’ve just been rumors.

Set Reports, Jackman Sightings, Pictures February 11th, 2008, posted by FofR

Production on the Wolverine movie prequel is beginning to ramp up now and in the next few months we’ll begin to see some exciting new developments. As of yet there are no on-set pictures of Hugh Jackman, but to keep the juices flowing we’ll provide you with some more set reports and photos:

Travel Marla

“Saw Hugh Jackman running through the woods today in full Wolverine costume. Apparently he’s shooting a movie of the same name as the X-Men character. New Zealand is doubling as Canada.”

Kay’s Travel Blog

“There was a large crew [at Fangorn Forest] filming scenes from the new Wolverine movie. Hugh Jackman is in town but we haven’t seen him.”

Movieweb are also getting in on the action - coming back with some updated pictures of the farm set, showing a fully constructed and ready to be destructed farm house,

The following is a series of images I was able to take from one of the Wolverine film sets. The images were taken from the set located in an area about 45 minutes outside of Queenstown, New Zealand. A side note of interesting information is that the hill located behind the barn is the same hill located behind Orthanc (the Isengard Tower in The Lord of the Rings Trillogy), as well as seconds away from locations where they filmed scenes from both The Chronicles of Narnia and Willow.

The barn was constructed several months ago and as far as I know was due to be blown up sometime during the week (something involving a helicopter!).

Rhino Buggies and Christian Clark February 11th, 2008, posted by FofR

Here are a couple of small rumors for you to get your adamantium claws into,

Rhino Buggies

According to the Rhino Buggies build journal, Fox have purchased one of their extreme terrain vehicles for the Wolverine movie. It’ll look a little like this, but obviously customised,

Christian Clark

Christian Clark has accidentally revealed to the Adelaide Advertiser that he has been cast for the X-men Origins feature, although he did not reveal which character he shall play:

Clark is momentarily caught off-guard when I ask about Wolverine, and inadvertently confirms his involvement, before realising the gag order in his contract prevents him from doing so or talking about it any further. But one thing is certain – Clark has a big future planned.

Once again their has been some speculation about the Stryker role, but it is currently unfounded.
